Hi!
I’m Janine and I’m excited to introduce myself as doe’s newest creative intern! ✨
At doe, I truly get the best of both worlds, helping design assets for both the creative team and the social media team. At heart, there are 7 things that I love in life— my friends, my wooden kitchenware, La La Land, Marvel movies, NIKI, eating cookie dough, flower arrangement— and 2 things that I’m aggressively passionate about— graphic design and doe (:
My (villain) origin story stems from the fact that I’ve always hated how lashes looked on me. Growing up with monolids and being constantly exposed to Eurocentric beauty standards, I was never able to fully appreciate the beauty of my eye shape and find lashes that I felt 100% comfortable in.
Cue: doe.
doe’s was the first lash that I felt complimented my eye shape rather than drastically change them. Seeing myself represented in not only doe’s brand but also the models they chose to shoot with also made me proud to take ownership of my own culture and my own narrative when it came to beauty. (Plus, doe’s marketing is cute af let’s be real). With that, it’s truly fulfilling to be able to not only do what I love for the company I love but also be surrounded by a team that constantly inspires me everyday. An actual dream.
Anyways thanks for stopping by to read my 5-page MLA essay! If you want to hear about about why La La Land is the best movie to exist in cinematographic HISTORY, I am always opened to p̶r̶o̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶I̶’̶m̶ ̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ chat.
With love,
Janine! 💌
